Weekday hours 8am – 5pm, weekend hours 7am – 5pm — no overnight call
7 – 10 stroke alerts possible during 9-hour shifts
Inpatient acute stroke and emergency department coverage
1 – 2 backup neurologists plus onsite nurse practitioner for support
Telestroke services for multiple regional hospitals
Required skills: radiologic exam interpretation, tPA, and brain death exams
Coverage includes neurosciences ICU stroke patient follow-up
General neurologist onsite for support during weekend coverage
